A vulnerability was found in Exadel Flamingo amf-serializer 2.2.0. It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown function of the component AMF3 Deserializer. The Java implementation of AMF3 deserializers used by Flamingo amf-serializer by Exadel, version 2.2.0, allows external entity references (XXEs) from XML documents embedded within AMF3 messages. If the XML parsing is handled incorrectly it could potentially expose sensitive data on the server, denial of service, or server side request forgery.
The bug was discovered 04/04/2017. The weakness was shared 06/11/2018 by Markus Wulftange as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is shared at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2017-3208 since 12/05/2016. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
