A vulnerability was found in LibTIFF 4.0.9 (Image Processing Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects the function JBIGDecode of the file tif_jbig.c of the component JBIG Handler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a out-of-bounds write vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-787. LibTIFF 4.0.9 (with JBIG enabled) decodes arbitrarily-sized JBIG into a buffer, ignoring the buffer size, which leads to a tif_jbig.c JBIGDecode out-of-bounds write.
