Incorrect handling of specified filenames in file downloads in Google Chrome prior to 65.0.3325.146 allowed a remote attacker to leak cross-origin data via a crafted HTML page and user interaction.
The bug was discovered 03/06/2018. The weakness was presented 11/14/2018 by Abdulrahman Alqabandi (lokihardt) with Tencent (Website). The advisory is available at chromereleases.googleblog.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2018-6075 since 01/23/2018. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
