A vulnerability has been found in PoDoFo 0.9.6 (Document Reader Software) and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects the function PdfTranslator::setTarget of the file pdftranslator.cpp. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a null pointer dereference vulnerability. A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability exists in the function PdfTranslator::setTarget() in pdftranslator.cpp of PoDoFo 0.9.6, while creating the PdfXObject, as demonstrated by podofoimpose. It allows an attacker to cause Denial of Service.
