In ImageMagick before 7.0.8-25, a memory leak exists in WriteDIBImage in coders/dib.c.
The bug was discovered 01/17/2019. The weakness was disclosed 02/05/2019 (Website). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2019-7398 since 02/04/2019. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
