A vulnerability was found in ImageMagick up to 6.9.9-0/7.0.6-1 (Image Processing Software). It has been classified as problematic. Affected is the function ReadTXTImage of the file coders/txt.c. The ReadTXTImage function in coders/txt.c in ImageMagick through 6.9.9-0 and 7.x through 7.0.6-1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a crafted file, because the end-of-file condition is not considered.
The bug was discovered 07/19/2017. The weakness was presented 07/22/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at bugs.debian.org.
