An issue was discovered in Joomla! before 3.9.4. The media form field lacks escaping, leading to XSS.
The bug was discovered 03/03/2019. The weakness was presented 03/12/2019 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2019-9714 since 03/11/2019. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
