A vulnerability was found in Apple iOS up to 12.1.4 (Smartphone Operating System) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component Safari Reader. A logic issue was addressed with improved validation. This issue is fixed in iOS 12.2, Safari 12.1. Enabling the Safari Reader feature on a maliciously crafted webpage may lead to universal cross site scripting.
The bug was discovered 03/25/2019. The weakness was published 03/25/2019 by Ryan Pickren as HT209599 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com.
