A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Mozilla Firefox, Firefox ESR and Thunderbird (Web Browser) (unknown version). Affected by this issue is the function Array.prototype.slice of the component IonMonkey JIT Compiler. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. Incorrect alias information in IonMonkey JIT compiler for Array.prototype.slice method may lead to missing bounds check and a buffer overflow. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 66.0.1, Firefox ESR < 60.6.1, and Thunderbird < 60.6.1.
The weakness was shared 04/26/2019. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2019-9810 since 03/14/2019. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
