Buffer overflow in the Speex resampler in the Web Audio subsystem in Mozilla Firefox before 30.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via vectors related to a crafted AudioBuffer channel count and sample rate.
The weakness was shared 06/10/2014 by Holger Fuhrmannek as MFSA2014-53 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at mozilla.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2014-1542 since 01/16/2014. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
