A vulnerability was found in RubyGems up to 3.0.2 (Programming Language Software). It has been classified as critical. This affects the function Gem::CommandManager#run. The manipulation as part of a Escape Sequence leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-119. An issue was discovered in RubyGems 2.6 and later through 3.0.2. Since Gem::CommandManager#run calls alert_error without escaping, escape sequence injection is possible. (There are many ways to cause an error.)
