In Solaris, an SNMP subagent has a default community string that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root, or modify system parameters.

Upgrading eliminates this vulnerability.Proper firewalling of udp/161 (snmp) is able to address this issue. The best possible mitigation is suggested to be upgrading to the latest version.
