Internet Explorer 4.0 and 5.0 allows a malicious web site to obtain client cookies from another domain by including that domain name and escaped characters in a URL, aka the "Unauthorized Cookie Access" vulnerability.

The issue has been introduced in 04/01/1997. The weakness was published 05/11/2000 as MS00-033 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at microsoft.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2000-0439. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but an exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1592 for this issue.
