A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0/4.0.1/5.0/5.01 (Web Browser). It has been classified as very critical. This affects some unknown processing of the component ActiveX Parameter Handler. The manipulation of the argument component with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Internet Explorer 4.x and 5.x allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a buffer overflow in the ActiveX parameter parsing capability, aka the "Malformed Component Attribute" vulnerability.
