The Print Templates feature in Internet Explorer 5.5 executes arbitrary custom print templates without prompting the user, which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary ActiveX controls, aka the "Browser Print Template" vulnerability.

The issue has been introduced in 07/08/2000. The weakness was published 02/16/2001 as MS00-093 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is available at microsoft.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2001-0090. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
