A function in Internet Explorer 5.0 through 5.5 does not properly verify the domain of a frame within a browser window, which allows a remote attacker to read client files, aka a new variant of the "Frame Domain Verification" vulnerability.

The issue has been introduced in 06/02/1998. The weakness was disclosed 06/06/2000 as MS00-093 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared for download at microsoft.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2001-0092. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are unknown but an exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
