A vulnerability has been found in Cisco TFTP Server 1.1 (File Transfer Software) and classified as problematic. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown part of the component GET Request Handler. The manipulation with the input value .. leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
