Directory traversal vulnerability in WorldClient.cgi in WorldClient for Alt-N Technologies MDaemon 5.0.5.0 and earlier allows local users to delete arbitrary files via a ".." (dot dot) in the Attachments parameter.

The bug was discovered 05/07/2002. The weakness was shared 12/31/2002 by Obscure (Website). The advisory is shared for download at online.securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2002-1741 since 06/21/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack needs to be approached locally.
