Oracle Oracle9i Application Server 1.0.2.2 and 9.0.2 through 9.0.2.0.1, when running on Windows, allows remote attackers to retrieve files in the WEB-INF directory, which contains Java class files and configuration information, via a request to the WEB-INF directory with a trailing dot ("WEB-INF.").

The weakness was published 12/31/2002 by Matt Moore with WESTPOINT (Website). The advisory is shared for download at westpoint.ltd.uk. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2002-1858 since 06/29/2005. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
