The LDAP server (nldap.exe) in IBM Lotus Domino before 7.0.1, 6.5.5, and 6.5.4 FP2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a long bind request, which triggers a null dereference.

The bug was discovered 02/10/2006. The weakness was published 02/10/2006 by Tan Chew Keong with Secunia Research (Website). The advisory is shared for download at secunia.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2005-2712 since 08/26/2005. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
