Internet Explorer 5.5 and 6.0 allows remote attackers to steal potentially sensitive information from cookies via a cookie that contains script which is executed when a page is loaded, aka the "Script within Cookies Reading Cookies" vulnerability.

The issue has been introduced in 07/08/2000. The weakness was shared 06/09/2003 as MS02-023 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). It is possible to read the advisory at microsoft.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2002-1564 since 05/29/2003. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
