A vulnerability was found in Microsoft Internet Explorer up to 6 (Web Browser) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown part of the component Event Handler. Unspecified vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 through 6 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via certain invalid HTML that causes memory corruption.
The weakness was presented 04/11/2006 by Michal Zalewski as MS06-013 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is available at microsoft.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2006-1185 since 03/13/2006. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
