A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in SalesLogix 2000.0. This affects some unknown processing in the library slxweb.dll of the component HTTP Header Handler. SalesLogix 6.1 includes usernames, passwords, and other sensitive information in the headers of an HTTP response, which could allow remote attackers to gain access.
The bug was discovered 05/19/2004. The weakness was disclosed 10/18/2004 by Carl Livitt (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2004-1609 since 02/20/2005. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details and a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1592 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
