A vulnerability has been found in Webcalendar (Calendar Software) (version unknown) and classified as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown function of the file validate.php of the component Error Message Handler. The manipulation of the argument encoded_login with an unknown input leads to a information disclosure vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-200. validate.php in WebCalendar allows remote attackers to gain sensitive information via an invalid encoded_login parameter, which reveals the full path in an error message.
The weakness was disclosed 12/31/2004 by Joxean Koret (Website). The advisory is shared for download at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2004-1509 since 02/18/2005. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
