A vulnerability has been found in ClearSwift MIMEsweeper for Web up to 5.1.15 and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown part of the component Blocked Site Handler. Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Clearswift MIMEsweeper for Web before 5.1.15 Hotfix allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the URL, which is reflected back in an error message when trying to access a blocked web site.
The weakness was disclosed 07/10/2006 by Erez Metula (Website). The advisory is available at download.mimesweeper.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-3522 since 07/11/2006. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
