A vulnerability was found in Tincan PHPList 2.10.1 (Mailing List Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown functionality of the file /admin/admin.php. The manipulation of the argument id with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in PHPlist 2.10.1 and earlier allow authenticated remote attackers with administrator privileges to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the id parameter in the (1) editattributes or (2) admin page.
The bug was discovered 11/02/2005. The weakness was presented 11/07/2005 by Tobias Klein with trapkit.de (Website). The advisory is shared for download at trapkit.de. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2005-3555 since 11/16/2005. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. The successful exploitation needs a simple authentication.
