Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via unspecified uses of the OBJECT HTML tag, which discloses the absolute path of the corresponding TIF folder, aka "TIF Folder Information Disclosure Vulnerability," and a different issue than CVE-2006-5578.
The weakness was shared 12/12/2006 by Sam Thomas as MS06-072 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is available at microsoft.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2006-5577 since 10/27/2006. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
