Details
A vulnerability was found in YaPIG 0.92b/0.93u/0.94u/0.95/0.95b. It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown function of the file view.php. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Yet Another PHP Image Gallery (YaPIG) 0.95b and earlier allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via (1) the Homepage field (aka the Website field) in an "image-related comment" and (2) the img_size field in view.php. NOTE: due to lack of details from the researcher, it is not clear whether the comment vector overlaps CVE-2005-1886.
