A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Oracle Database up to 10g (Database Software). Affected is an unknown part of the component Oracle Notification Service. Apache 1.3.20 on Windows servers allows remote attackers to bypass the default index page and list directory contents via a URL with a large number of / (slash) characters.
The bug was discovered 08/22/2006. The weakness was presented 01/17/2007 by Alexander Kornbrust with Red Database Security (Website). The advisory is available at red-database-security.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2001-0729. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
