Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Lotus Domino iNotes Client 6.5.4 and 7.0 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via (1) an email subject; (2) an encoded javascript URI, as demonstrated using "java script:"; or (3) when the Domino Web Access ActiveX control is not installed, via an email attachment filename.
The bug was discovered 08/22/2005. The weakness was shared 02/10/2006 by Tan Chew Keong (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2006-0663 since 02/13/2006. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
