Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Syndication (Safari RSS) in Mac OS X 10.4 through 10.4.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript via unspecified vectors involving RSS feeds.
The bug was discovered 03/01/2006. The weakness was released 02/28/2006 by Ilja van Sprundel (iDefense) with iDEFENSE (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at us-cert.gov. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2006-0389 since 01/24/2006. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
