Buffer overflow in RealNetworks RealPlayer 10.5 6.0.12.1040 through 6.0.12.1348, RealPlayer 10, RealOne Player v2, RealOne Player v1, RealPlayer 8, and RealPlayer Enterprise before 20060322 allows remote attackers to have an unknown impact via a malicious Mimio boardCast (mbc) file.
The bug was discovered 03/22/2006. The weakness was released 03/23/2006 by Greg MacManus (iDefense) with iDEFENSE Labs as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is shared for download at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2006-1370 since 03/23/2006. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
