A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Tr Forum 2.0 (Forum Software). Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown code of the file /admin/editer.php. The manipulation of the argument id2 with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. SQL injection vulnerability in admin/editer.php in Tr Forum 2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the id2 parameter. NOTE: this can be leveraged with other Tr Forum vulnerabilities to allow unauthenticated attackers to gain privileges.
The weakness was presented 09/03/2006 by DarkFig (Website). The advisory is shared at vupen.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2006-4585 since 09/06/2006. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. A single authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.
A public exploit has been developed in Perl and been published even before and not after the advisory. It is possible to download the exploit at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:admin/editer.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
