Apple QuickTime before 7.4.5 does not properly handle external URLs in movies, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information.

The bug was discovered 04/02/2008. The weakness was released 04/03/2008 by Jorge Escala with Open Tech Solutions as HT1241 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2008-1014 since 02/26/2008. The attack may be launched remotely.
