A vulnerability was found in Apple QuickTime 7.4.4 (Multimedia Player Software). It has been declared as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown function. Heap-based buffer overflow in quickTime.qts in Apple QuickTime before 7.4.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted PICT image file, related to an improperly terminated memory copy loop.

The bug was discovered 04/02/2008. The weakness was released 04/03/2008 with ZDI as HT1241 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at support.apple.com.
