Mbedthis AppWeb before 2.2.2 enables the HTTP TRACE method, which has unspecified impact probably related to remote information leaks and cross-site tracing (XST) attacks, a related issue to CVE-2004-2320 and CVE-2005-3398.

The bug was discovered 05/24/2007. The weakness was disclosed 05/24/2007 by Michael O'Brien (Website). The advisory is available at appwebserver.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-3008 since 06/04/2007. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
