A vulnerability classified as very critical was found in Sap EnjoySAP (the affected version unknown). This vulnerability affects the function PrepareToPostHTML in the library frontend\sapgui\kwedit.dll of the component ActiveX Control. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a stack-based overflow vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-121. Stack-based buffer overflow in the kweditcontrol.kwedit.1 ActiveX control in FrontEnd\SapGui\kwedit.dll in the EnjoySAP SAP GUI allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long argument to the PrepareToPostHTML function.
The bug was discovered 01/04/2007. The weakness was shared 07/05/2007 by Mark Litchfield (Website). The advisory is shared for download at ngssoftware.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2007-3605. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
