A vulnerability was found in CA eTrust Intrusion Detection. It has been classified as very critical. Affected is an unknown functionality in the library caller.dll of the component ActiveX Control. The CallCode ActiveX control in caller.dll 3.0 before 20070713, and 3.0 SP1 before 3.0.5.81, in CA (formerly Computer Associates) eTrust Intrusion Detection allows remote attackers to load arbitrary DLLs on a client system, and execute code from these DLLs, via unspecified "scriptable functions."
The bug was discovered 07/24/2007. The weakness was shared 07/25/2007 by Sebastian Apelt (Website). The advisory is shared for download at labs.idefense.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2007-3302 since 06/20/2007. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
