BEA WebLogic Server and WebLogic Express 6.1, 7.0, and 8.1, with RMI and anonymous admin lookup enabled, allows remote attackers to obtain configuration information by accessing MBeanHome via the Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI).

The weakness was disclosed 11/14/2003 with BEA (Website). The advisory is shared for download at dev2dev.bea.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2003-1290 since 01/13/2006. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
