CRLF injection vulnerability in Mozilla Firefox before 2.0.0.12 allows remote user-assisted web sites to corrupt the user s password store via newlines that are not properly handled when the user saves a password.

The bug was discovered 02/07/2008. The weakness was released 02/08/2008 by Gerry Eisenhaur with Martijn Wargers as Bug 394610 as confirmed bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.mozilla.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2008-0417 since 01/23/2008. The attack may be launched remotely.
