Unspecified vulnerability in the Client System Analyzer component in Oracle Database Server 11.1.0.7 and 11.2.0.1 and Enterprise Manager Grid Control 10.2.0.5 allows remote attackers to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability via unknown vectors. NOTE: the previous information was obtained from the January 2011 CPU. Oracle has not commented on claims from a reliable third party coordinator that this issue involves an exposed JSP script that accepts XML uploads in conjunction with NULL bytes in an unspecified parameter that allow execution of arbitrary code.

The weakness was released 01/19/2011 by Martin Rakhmanov (BSDaemon) with Application Security Inc. (Website). The advisory is available at teamshatter.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2010-3600 since 09/20/2010. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.

A public exploit has been developed in Ruby. It is possible to download the exploit at securityfocus.com. It is declared as highly functional. As 0-day the estimated underground price was around $5k-$25k. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 51573 (Oracle Database Multiple Vulnerabilities (January 2011 CPU)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
