Apple Safari before 3.2 does not properly prevent caching of form data for form fields that have autocomplete disabled, which allows local users to obtain sensitive information by reading the browser s page cache.
The bug was discovered 11/13/2008. The weakness was released 11/17/2008 by Nitesh Dhanjani with Microsoft (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2008-3644 since 08/12/2008. The attack needs to be approached locally. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
