A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Adobe Acrobat Reader up to 9.5/10.1.2 (Document Reader Software). Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality. Adobe Reader and Acrobat before 9.5, and 10.x before 10.1.2, on Windows and Mac OS X allow attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (heap memory corruption) via unspecified vectors.
The weakness was presented 01/10/2012 by Billy Rios with Google Security Team (Website). The advisory is available at adobe.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2011-4371 since 11/04/2011. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available.
