A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in LightNEasy 1.2.2. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument page with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in LightNEasy "no database" (aka flat) version 1.2.2, and possibly SQLite version 1.2.2, allow remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the page parameter to (1) index.php and (2) LightNEasy.php.
