The weakness was shared 03/07/2012 by Jochen Eisinger (Slawomir Blazek) with Google Chrome Security Team as HT5192 as confirmed knowledge base article (Website). The advisory is shared at support.apple.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2012-0588 since 01/12/2012. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
