A vulnerability was found in Irfan Skiljan IrfanView 4.32 (Image Processing Software). It has been declared as critical. Heap-based buffer overflow in IrfanView before 4.33 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted RLE compressed bitmap file such as a DIB, RLE, or BMP image.
The weakness was presented 03/29/2012 by Parvez Anwar with Secunia (Website) via Secunia. The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2012-5904 since 11/17/2012.
