A vulnerability was found in Mozilla Firefox 3.6 (Web Browser). It has been classified as very critical. This affects the function TraceRecorder::traverseScopeChain of the component Browser Engine. The TraceRecorder::traverseScopeChain function in js/src/jstracer.cpp in the browser engine in Mozilla Firefox 3.6 before 3.6.2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via vectors involving certain indirect calls to the JavaScript eval function.
The weakness was shared 03/25/2010 by Wladimir Palant (moz_bug_r_a4) with Mozilla Developers as Bug 542849 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla).
