Integer overflow in the TIFFroundup macro in LibTIFF before 3.9.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted TIFF file that triggers a buffer overflow.
The weakness was released 06/24/2010 as Bug 601274 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). It is possible to read the advisory at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2010-2065. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
