The implementation of HTML content creation in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 through 8 does not remove the Anchor element during pasting and editing, which might allow remote attackers to obtain sensitive deleted information by visiting a web page, aka "Anchor Element Information Disclosure Vulnerability."
The issue has been introduced in 03/05/2008. The weakness was presented 10/13/2010 as MS10-071 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is available at microsoft.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2010-3327. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
