The weakness was disclosed 06/12/2012 with Oracle as not defined bulletin (Website). The advisory is available at oracle.com. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability was named CVE-2012-1724 since 03/16/2012. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1499 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 802951 , which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
